Who are you and what do you do?

“I’m a 19 year old Tutor and Insha Allah will be studying International Relations and Logics degree from home.”

Is there a book you would recommend to people to read or one that has inspired you?

“I’d say reading news and articles, being aware of what's going on in the world. Not just here and now. My parents taught me don't be limited to where you come from; you know living in Tottenham for example.”

Is there a person who has inspired you in your life, present day of historical figure?

“Mum because she's done a lot in her life and she has shown a housewife can incorporate other things even work for the community and she’s had an impact on other Muslim women and the impact she's had I have seen firsthand. Also, people my age who are really doing things like Samira, she always doing things like this charity walk and making a difference and it’s encouraging.”

Have you thought about your own legacy and if so in what capacity?

“Last few years I've been to so many funerals and I guess people you don't expect to pass away like of cancer, this boy, someone’s husband in Syria it reminds me when I've gone to their Janaza they showed me you can make a positive impact in a short space of time even. It wasn't sombre it was a celebration of their life in fact. When you think we’ll pass I'd want to make one remember and know my life didn't go to waste.”

On travelling:

“I’m interested in Scandinavian Muslims, European Muslims and would like to see Muslim communities there.” On life goals:

“Our goals are often dictated by society and I appreciate that the usual job, marriage, degree, school but now I realise it's not the end of the world If don't do a degree so much is out there.” On British Muslim identity:

“There’s so many opportunities offered to us and we can take them but as long as we don't lose our identity. People respect you more if you be you for example want to pray, initially they may not understand but over time they respect you. We also need to create more positive examples, there’s so much bad coverage about us (Muslims) we have to create our own coverage”
